Project Officer - Dynamic Dunescapes
Ref: 1784 - Project Officer - Dynamic Dunescapes HG-16-08643
South West office location desirable but not essential

This role is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a large partnership project to benefit key sand dune sites in England and Wales. It is funded by a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, made possible by National Lottery players. The project partnership, led by Natural England, has been successful in its ‘Dynamic Dunescapes’ Round 1 application to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Heritage Grants funding stream and is also seeking LIFE funding. The project now needs a Project Officer to work closely with the Development Project Manager to further work up the initiative so that a successful Round 2 HLF application can be submitted in March 2019. If the round 2 submission is successful the 4-year delivery phase (commencing in summer 2019) will deliver a range of conservation and engagement activities focused on nine dune systems across England and Wales.

This Fixed Term Appointment to the end of June 2019 initially covers the HLF Heritage Grant development phase. Subject to successful award of a delivery phase grant from Heritage Lottery Fund, and satisfactory performance, this post may be continued to the end of the delivery phase (September 2023).

Dynamic Dunescapes aims to restore the natural processes of our most important sand dune sites by unlocking the dynamism that is critical to their future. The national partnership comprises Natural England, Plantlife, The Wildlife Trusts, National Trust and Natural Resources Wales.
