Events Advisor – Home Energy Scotland
£19,221 - £20,562 + 8% employer pension contribution
Full time 37.5 Hours per week
Edinburgh with regular travel across the South East of Scotland.
Changeworks have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, customer focused Event Advisor. Home Energy Scotland is the free, impartial advice service funded by the Scottish Government and managed by the Energy Saving Trust. Changeworks delivers the service in South East of Scotland and the Highlands and Islands.
Our Event Advisors provide high quality advice and information about energy efficiency, renewable technologies, water efficiency and sustainable transport. We are dedicated to encouraging Scottish householders to make changes, helping them to have more a sustainable future and supporting them to access any funding available.
Our induction programme is an SQA accredited qualification, and successful candidates will also complete a City and Guilds qualification on Energy Awareness in the home.
The ideal candidate and the role
Are you an enthusiastic individual who enjoys engaging with customers face to face? Then this role is for you. You will have the opportunity to engage customers in a wide range of settings including medical practices, sports stadia and workplaces to provide high quality advice and enabling people to take action.
Being a confident communicator who can proactively adapt your approach to the audience is a must. You will have an excellent understanding of the importance of high quality customer service and be motivated to provide excellent advice whilst being target driven.
Flexibility is important as evening and weekend work will be required.

You will also be required to complete a recognised City & Guilds qualification in Energy Awareness.
