Summary of role: 

Anthesis, a rapidly growing global consultancy is looking for a professional, experienced and self-motivated individual to join our growing team as a Community Manager. The successful candidate will join an existing team which supports the work of one of our clients (one of the world’s leading grocery retailers) to achieve their ambitious supply chain sustainability strategy. 

The role of community manager is a mid level role which will incorporate the use of online tools and in-person networking to create relationships and foster open and transparent collaboration between retailer and their supply chain. While every day as a Community Manager is different, this is what the role’s responsibilities may include: 

  • Building relations – engaging with the supply chain through administration of and facilitation for discussions, workshops, and webinars to drive knowledge transfer between retailer and suppliers, and foster collaborative partnerships. 
  • Content creation – provide support with the development of communications such as writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material to drive knowledge transfer across a range of sustainability topics from science based targets to food waste. 
  • Events and event planning – planning and supporting a range of events (predominantly webinars). 
  • Communications/strategy –support the Network Manager to create strategic marketing/communications plans to provide direction for sustainability led campaigns. 
  • Analytics – Use Google Analytics to provide reports and recommendations to improve engagement metrics and support new initiatives. 
    • On-line content management (40%);
    • Team Support (30%); 
    • Supplier Engagement (20%);
    • Client Engagement (10%);


Full training will be given, nonetheless the successful candidate will bring: 

  • A demonstrable interest in and understanding of key food supply chain issues
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to networking and engagement 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications 
  • Excellent advocacy skills
  • Demonstrable skills of narrative building and the importance of roles of tone, style and brand in written and verbal communications. 
  • Excellent communication skills and creative writing skills 
  • University degree preferably in an environmental or sustainability related discipline 
  • 2 - 3 years of supply chain and sustainability experience.
