Senior Evaluation Officer, Research & Monitoring Unit (Ref SUS2388)

£26,985 per annum

37.5 hours per week – based in Edinburgh

Sustrans Research & Monitoring Unit provides evidence on sustainable and active travel that is transparent and authoritative, and which influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK and we are now seeking a creative, passionate and experienced individual to join our team of thirty analysts, researchers and evaluation specialists. The responsibilities will include developing and managing a small team and overseeing aspects of our wide programme of monitoring, evaluation and appraisal work.

If you have a good understanding of best practice in monitoring and evaluation techniques, have demonstrable project management skills and are a great communicator with the ability to present technical information in a clear way then this could be the right role for you. The ideal candidate will be able to draw on a wide range of research methods and apply them to real world projects, have strong analytical skills, experience of working with partners and clients and know how to get the best out of others both through line management and task supervision. You will also be committed to the promotion of active and sustainable transport.

Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 9am on Monday 30 April 2018. Interviews will be held in Edinburgh on Wednesday 16 or Thursday 17 May 2018.
