Play Together on Pedals – Senior Development Officer

Play Together on Pedals is a family cycling programme, focusing on enabling families to cycle together for everyday journeys, utilising the skills and knowledge of experienced cycling families to help overcome the barriers around routes, equipment and confidence. Through aprogramme of community activities, pre-school cycling, outreach and training Play Together on Pedals will help families feel safer and more confident as they get pedalling on two, three and four wheels.

Purpose of Role

Play Together on Pedals Edinburgh is led by Cycling UK in partnership with Play Scotland andCycling Scotland. The Senior Development Officer will be the first point of contact for the project, developing good relationships with the CEC Early Years team, public sector and private nurseries, community organisations, families and local cycling groups to deliver the project.

Scope of Role

The officer will be responsible for the front line delivery and management of the project, working closely with the project partnership group, partners and stakeholders to deliver theprogramme. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the budget is spent and monitored appropriately and that the evaluation takes account of all aspects of the programme.
