About the Role:

  • This role is Edinburgh based and requires extensive travel throughout the UK.
  • Visiting ports across the country, researchers will arrange and undertake face-to-face interviews with vessel owners and skippers.
  • Researchers will spend up to 5 days in a new survey area each week, traveling between ports in the area to interview vessel owners and skippers.
  • This is not an average 9am-5pm role, researchers may have to adapt their schedule to suit the working patterns of fishermen. In some instances anti-social working hours may be required.
