Resource Futures is continuing to expand its business in Scotland and as such we are recruiting a Senior Consultant to support our work with private, public and third sectors including Zero Waste Scotland.

Nature and scope

You will be responsible for managing and delivering support to clients from business development and initial lead generation, tender writing and submission through to technical delivery. The work will involve supporting organisations to make material changes to the way they do business and operate, to reduce costs, improve profits and reduce their carbon footprint.

You will be expected to be well connected in relevant networks across Scotland. You will have previous experience of supporting organisations, assess the opportunities and implement change around the areas of resource efficiency and circular economy.

You will be expected to take responsibility for:

  • Undertaking business development activities to build client relationships
  • Writing successful bids and proposals
  • Delivering high quality consultancy work to agreed timelines and budgets
  • Developing and marketing assigned work areas
  • Managing others and projects
  • Being available to work out-of-office hours (including weekends), should the need arise

Further information

You will have a good understanding of:

  • Generating and converting consultancy leads
  • How private and public sectors operate internally and externally
  • Business planning and systems for monitoring performance against plans
