We have an exciting opportunity to join the Operations team in London at the Energy Saving Trust. The team operates in the areas of product assurance and verification, energy labelling, clean technologies and the coordination and delivery of multi-partner projects. This role will be focused on the delivery of a large collaborative international programme.

The UK Department for International Development (DfID) has selected EST to co-manage a framework programme focused on off-grid appliance market development in Africa and South Asia. The Low Energy Inclusive Appliances (LEIA) programme aims to halve the cost and double the efficiency of a range of off- and weak-grid appliances. The LEIA programme has an £18m budget over 5 years working with partner organisation CLASP. CLASP is an evolving, international, non-profit organization with offices, programs and projects around the world

You will be a confident individual with an interest in energy efficiency and policy or international development. You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager in the delivery of the project work plan, ensuring a strong and collaborative working relationship with the key international project stakeholders, as well as working with internal project team to manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project.

Your ability to plan and prioritise multiple competing activities, with strong communication skills, in this fast-paced international environment will underpin the successful delivery of this role.

As the project partners will be international based the post holder will need to manage their time to fit with different time zones. As well as this, the post holder will need to be available to travel to the US, Africa and South Asia (approx. 2 – 3 times a year). We are looking for someone who is motivated and has a keen interest in sustainability.
