Cheshire Ecological Services (CES) is a well-established and successful consultancy providing services to a wide range of clients in Cheshire and surrounding areas. We are recruiting additional ecological expertise to meet the demands of our growing workload and to support the existing team of dedicated and skilled ecologists. Unlike many other consultancies, CES typically delivers local contracts so overnight stays or long distance travel is extremely rare.

We are looking for one or more ecologists with at least 2 years’ experience of survey and mitigation for UK protected species ideally with a specialism in one or more protected species. You will have a relevant degree and be eligible to join CIEEM. We are also interested to hear from more experienced ecologists with proven track record of delivery who are ready to take the next step and for the right candidate there is the opportunity to oversee the management and development of the business. To be considered at a more senior level you will need to demonstrate an ability to manage staff, budgets and complex projects.

This post will be based in CES’ office within Cheshire Wildlife Trust’s headquarters at Bickley Hall Farm, Bickley, Cheshire SY14 8EF. CES are the trading arm of CWT and profits are gifted to the charity. A full clean driving licence and own transport are essential in undertaking this role. Company vehicles are available for shared use.
