The Dartmoor peatland restoration project is part of an ambitious programme to restore this iconic habitat across the moorlands of the south west. This is a three year project funded and delivered by a diverse partnership of organisations and individuals.

Dartmoor National Park Authority is looking for someone to drive forward the delivery of this exciting restoration project. You will have extensive knowledge and practical experience of undertaking peatland restoration, worked extensively with contractors and a have good understanding of upland and wetland ecology.

The successful applicant will be extremely organised, have proven project management experience and excellent communications skills. You will have an understanding of rural issues, demonstrable knowledge of working with upland farmers and landowners, plus a track-record of delivering environmental outcomes.

The post is based at the Authority’s head office at Parke, Bovey Tracey, but will involve travel to other sites within the National Park. You will also be part of a wider team coordinated by South West Water who will oversee delivery across Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor.

The Authority operates flexible working hours and is a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
