About the Climate Bonds Initiative

The Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) is an investor-focused NGO working to mobilise the $100 trillion global bond market for climate change solutions. The organisation is leading the development of climate finance solutions with global stakeholders: governments, investors, banks and large companies.

Our main work streams are green bond standards and certification, green bond data and market analysis, policy analysis, green capital markets development and communications. Policy analysis - and advocacy - is central to our market development work.

The Role

We are looking for a Publications Manager to join us in our London office. You will be liaising across teams, working closely with Communications and other teams to ensure Climate Bonds publications reflect and inform audiences of our respective communications themes and positions, advocacy, policy priorities, the role of standards and market perspectives.

Reporting to the CEO, the role will suite an individual with a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast moving work environment of multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all aspects of production of multiple publications; editorial, production and design. 
  • Budget management.
  • Supporting work on funding submissions as required
  • Liaising with different CBI teams as required.
  • Liaison with external stakeholders, sponsors and co-publishers.
  • Ensuring editorial includes relevant communications themes and positions and Climate Bonds overall advocacy and policies, as well as Climate Bonds branding and ‘look and feel’.
  • Ensuring deadlines are met
  • Provides publications text for website as required

Qualifications and Experience


  • Five plus years related experience
  • Experience with sub editing; proven command of editorial, grammatical, writing skills and techniques
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign desktop publishing software
  • Proven negotiation and project leadership/management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of publishing and printing
  • Ability to work across teams and with a variety of projects
  • Experience managing to a budget and with multiple deadlines required
  • Proficiency in English
  • Eligible to work in the UK


  • Experience working with small NGOs
  • Understanding of climate finance issues, debt capital markets
