Fundraising and Events Officer (Maternity cover 9 months with possible extension)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to continue and expand the Trust’s community fundraising and events – organising and providing high quality activities and engagement opportunities. By encouraging and nurturing the involvement of new audiences and existing members, you will help achieve the Trust’s vision, bolstering funds for wildlife and inspiring people to take action and support their local wildlife plus providing a variety of learning opportunities too.

The post holder will oversee the 2018 programme of events and community fundraising schemes, plus help look ahead to 2019 and the exciting opportunities of event delivery and fundraising beyond the year. A critical part of the role will be to monitor and evaluate the events plus maintain and build existing partnerships for fundraising.

The post holder will also be required to help support funding bids and develop projects as part of the role. The post holder will also support the wider work of the Trust and contribute innovative ideas and solutions to the challenges the Trust faces.

The Candidate

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual who will help us deliver our core aims through managing our events programme, ensuring a professional and seamless delivery. This essential role of developing and delivering events will also provide positive opportunity for people to connect with their local wildlife. The post holder will also play a key role in managing and delivering a number of community fundraising schemes, so an adaptable and innovative approach is essential.

With excellent organisational skills, the successful candidate will have a good background in managing and delivering events, managing partnerships and developing fundraising opportunities. Importantly, you will be able to demonstrate their ability and passion for people and wildlife.

We believe this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a real and lasting contribution and help build our work. If this is you, we would love to hear from you. In return we can offer a great place to work in a supportive and friendly environment.

Is this you?
