Borough of Poole is looking for a Contracts Officer to work in our Environmental Development team. This is a great opportunity to deliver some of the key capital improvements within the £3.5m Poole Park Life project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The focus of the post is to deliver the largest project element that seeks to improve access, car parks and surfacing in Poole Park as well as assisting with the delivery of other capital works.

We would like you to lead on all aspects of contract management, taking the existing developed designs forward through technical design and construction phases, within the project programme and budget. This will mean liaising with designers, maintenance colleagues, planners, contractors, stakeholders and keeping the public informed of progress.

You will have experience of contract administration in the delivery of high quality landscape and public realm projects and understand the significance of working in a listed park and its sensitive environment. You will need to be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have good knowledge of highways design, construction and maintenance. You will be excellent at planning your workload and committed to the Council’s purpose and values.

You will play an active role in a multi-skilled team and help to deliver one of the Council’s highest profile projects on our flag-ship open space.
