Bats are amazing animals, and an important part of our natural environment. The Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) is proud to be the leading non-governmental organisation devoted solely to the conservation of bats and their habitats. Our mission is to secure the future of bats in a changing world.

BCT is seeking Maternity leave cover for the role of Head of Biodiversity. This person will direct and co-ordinate the BCT Biodiversity team and maintain BCT’s authority as the UK’s leading bat conservation non-government organisation (NGO). This role is a key contact with the wide range of BCT partners including government agencies, non-government organisations, professional bodies and industry and oversees the management of BCT’s biodiversity, built environment, planning, investigations and woodland programmes. A good understanding of legislation and policy in relation to protected species is essential along with work experience relating to development, planning and licensing.
