The E-Car team are currently seeking highly motivated and professionally-minded individuals to join their growing Customer Engagement team. Reporting to the Customer Engagement Manager, a Customer Engagement Assistant, or CEA, will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. 

They will take responsibility for responding to prospective membership enquires and maintain strong relationships with our business and private members alike. A large part of the role includes onboarding new members, processing operational requests and providing an exceptional customer service through communication, efficiency and attention to detail.

This is an exciting, varied opportunity where no two days are the same, working closely with the Membership, Marketing and Operations teams to maintain excellent levels of customer satisfaction. Joining at this rapid growth phase will also provide invaluable experience.

The role is permanent following an initial probationary period of 6 months.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Potential candidates will come from a variety of backgrounds but will be expected to exhibit the following common characteristics:

  • Appreciation and understanding of the principles behind the transition to a more energy-efficient, less carbon intensive economy (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong sector interest in one or more areas of E-Car focus (e.g. Low Carbon Transport, Community Engagement or Social Entrepreneurship).
  • Customer relations experience and a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Ability to maintain and build strong relationships with key business clients.
  • Above average IT skills including comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly adapt to new software packages.
  • Strong organisational skills with a track record of successful self-management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key business accounts.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills (fluency in English essential).
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with an accurate, succinct and professional writing style.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to identify sources of potential issues/concern/conflict in advance.
  • Ability to work at times independently, taking initiative and ‘ownership’ of assignments or problems encountered.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

The ideal candidate will need to be highly motivated and prepared to operate in a dynamic and ever changing environment as the business continues to grow rapidly. They should be a dedicated self-starter comfortable working alone or as part of team.

A commitment to meeting the challenge of sustainable development in the UK is welcome but not critical. However, the role will be particularly suitable for an individual looking to gain experience in this sector. The role may also be of interest to a candidate looking to gain additional experience and exposure to a rapidly growing start-up company and its management. There is the potential for rapid progression as the company expands.
