The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland. We own and care for over 1,000 woodland sites across the United Kingdom and support the creation and management of woodland on land outside the Trust's own estate.

The Charter for Trees, Woods and People unites our vision and aims. We are looking for a passionate, energetic people person who enjoys mobilising communities to join forces around a common goal. Collectively, we'll make a lasting positive difference for woods and trees across the neighbourhoods, landscapes and countries of the UK.

The Charter for Trees, Woods and People was launched on 6 November 2017. Working from 10 key principles, embedding the vision and aims of the Tree Charter into society will be achieved through a combination of: a UK Tree Charter Board, a network of over 500 community groups and a further 50 plus contributing partners. A well organised and resourceful Programme Delivery Lead will bring all the work streams together, create an achievable approach to delivery and help to establish a cohesive identity and a public profile for the Tree Charter as led by the Woodland Trust.

Using your excellent, clear communication skills you will work across a diverse network of contributors towards embedding the Tree Charter and its principles into the fabric of society. With your experience in managing both community groups and partner organisations of all shapes and sizes, you will be adept at enabling and inspiring others to achieve great things. Flexible, but never easily distracted, you'll be as comfortable working on a detailed aspect of the Tree Charter as you are in supporting the UK Board as it guides the next steps of this exciting and ambitious project.

There's no other organisation quite like the Woodland Trust. Whatever your role here you will be supporting our work to protect and enhance woods and trees. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement.
