OHES Environmental Limited (OHES), part of the Adler and Allan Group, is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy operating across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. OHES has grown and diversified over the last 16 years to a point where our business is led and staffed by some of the brightest and most experienced consultants in the UK market place. More recently, in response to client demands, the Company have constructed a number of product bundles from their full range of services, which are designed to overcome environmental challenges in specific markets and sectors.

The Company are now seeking to appoint Environmental Technicians to join their teams in various locations in the UK. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Environmental Technician will be required to undertake any task required to facilitate planning, procurement, supervision and data collection in relation to Environmental Claims Management.

This is a full-time post and in addition the postholder will be expected to satisfy overtime requirements as well as occasionally staying away from home overnight. Key tasks and accountabilities associated with this role are as follows:

  • Undertaking field monitoring works including measurement and sampling.
  • Supporting senior colleagues in all aspects of Environmental Claims Management.
  • Provision of accurate and timely information to line management.
  • Supporting team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices at all levels.

This list is not exhaustive and the postholder will be required to satisfy any task assigned by supervisor for which the postholder is qualified and experienced to undertake. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring consistently high levels of safety, technical robustness and organisation and achieve a 70% utilisation target.

Applicants should possess a degree in a geo-environmental related discipline or similar and experience of environmental assessment or monitoring and in collection of field data would be an advantage but not essential.

The Environmental Technician will attend domestic and commercial properties and as such, must provide a professional service and image of the Company at all times; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate are essential as are organisational and time-management skills and the ability to use Microsoft applications.

Proof of the right to work in the UK is required, as is satisfying a DBS check to satisfy client requirements.

As the postholder will be required to travel to any location any location within the Company’s operational footprint; possession of a full, clean UK driving licence is essential for this role.
