Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is seeking :

1 x Seasonal Learning Assistant (Westport)
1 x Seasonal Learning Assistant (Wolseley)

Fixed Term Contracts : 01/03/2018 – 31/10/2018

35 hours per week

£16,871.40 per annum pro rata + 10% pension

The county’s leading nature conservation charity has two exciting new opportunities for Seasonal Learning Assistants to join our People Engagement Team.

The postholders will be passionate communicators, able to inspire school children and young people through curriculum-linked programmes and activities; they will provide outstanding customer service whilst promoting Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The postholders will support the Senior Learning Officer and People Engagement Team by monitoring and contributing to engagement targets and assisting with the day to day running of our formal programmes offer at Westport Lake Visitor Centre or The Wolseley Centre.

We are looking for someone to deliver curriculum-linked programmes to all key stages that will ignite passion for wildlife. These will take place at our visitor centres, on nature reserves, and across Staffordshire as part of our outreach programme.

We are therefore looking for someone with :

  • A degree in an environmental, teaching or similar discipline
  • Experience of delivering environmental education to children and young people within the framework of the National Curriculum and assisting in the management of an environmental education programme, either centre or outreach based
  • An ability to work within a busy team
