Conservation Officer (Transforming lives and landscapes – community action for the Salthill stream in Slough)

Based in Slough Borough Council, Slough

22.5 hours per week (flexible working hours)

The post is a fixed term 12 month contract with strong potential for extension depending on future funding support for the project.

WWT is looking for a dynamic team player to help develop the work of this innovative and inspirational project working alongside our Community Engagement officer. Duties will include developing and leading a programme of volunteer activities, recruiting new volunteers and supporting all those who participate in the project.

The successful applicant will be resourceful and have excellent organisational and people skills.

You will be working with schools and community groups to ensure the widest participation of the Slough community in this exciting project. You will lead an innovative volunteer and conservation programme which places people at the heart of the “Transforming lives and landscapes – community action for the Salthill stream” project, bringing health and well-being benefits for people, enhancing community cohesion and the creation of amazing new wetlands.
