At Castlehaven we have four acres of urban green space and an Horticulture Hub just off Camden high street. We have been working to transform our open space into a vibrant and loved park space that is rich in biodiversity, providing opportunities for the local community to learn about gardening, food growing and environmental issues. We are looking for a self motivated, proactive and creative individual to manage our new Greengage project, Greenhaven wildlife area and Horticulture Hub at the Castlehaven Community Association. You must have the confidence to lead on creating an exciting programme of environmental activities, gardening sessions, walks, talks and events. The ability to plan and manage projects, working on your own initiative to tight deadlines will be key to the success of this post. It is essential that you have experience of working with inner-city communities, increasing community engagement and can demonstrate how you have managed successful community projects, particularly those with a food growing, gardening and/or environmental focus. The ability to build strong partner relationships and to enthuse others to come onboard the project is key. That aside you will be creative, idea-driven and flexible in your working arrangements.

We really want the Castlehaven Community Open space and Horticulture Hub to be places for all people to come and enjoy a little bit of nature, calm and relaxation in the heart of Camden. If you think you have what it takes to create exciting environmental projects at Castlehaven Community Association, we would love for you to apply for this post.

Application closing date: Sunday 4th February 2018.

Interviews will take place in Mid February 2018.
