We are seeking an experienced, Entrepreneurial Operations Manager for Aldenham Country Park.

The role

  • Managing Office and Business Administration to ensure effective delivery
  • Purchasing and managing all expenditure and costs arising from day to day operational needs, including stock control. Maintenance Coordination and Cash Handling
  • Interacting with members and ability to relate to families with special needs children
  • Insuring all Health & Safety, Environmental Standards, Systems and Procedures governing all aspects of running the park and Special Needs Playground are defined and implemented.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational policies, priorities, and standards relating to park operations. Setting the standard. Leading the team to create WOW 200,000 times a year.
  • Interview and select candidates for employment. Staff Induction & Training in basics plus a motivator, leader who can inspire people to deliver visitors magic experiences by attending to detail. Take responsibility for HR. Create and inspire a small team.
  • Duty Management / Leadership 2 days a week including Weekends and School Holidays in rotation with other Senior Managers.
  • Establish systems for monitoring programs; develops long-term work plans; develop goals and objectives for assigned managers
  • Review feedback from the park visitors and recommend solutions.
  • Manage rota system/staff costing for all park personnel
  • Planning and implementing strategies to achieve constant improvements in visitor and employee satisfaction Maintaining a critical oversight of marketing functions.
  • Manage a team of Duty Managers to ensure daily/weekly and monthly tasks are completed correctly
  • Ability to manage Food and Catering Operations and Events.

We are a small team so can vary the roles according to talents and interests.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of building successful enterprises through direct hands on leadership in a similar role. At least 5 years management experience in a relevant sector required.
