Do you have a good understanding of wildlife and environmental issues in relation to farming? Would you enjoy working with farmers and landowners to help safeguard Northern Devon’s stunning natural environment? Would you like to play a significant role in delivering Devon Wildlife Trust’s Northern Devon Nature Improvement Area (NIA) programme?

The NIA is an innovative partnership, led by Devon Wildlife Trust, that is driving the restoration and re-creation of habitats at a landscape scale, and securing multiple benefits for both wildlife and people through the sustainable management and use of natural resources.

Devon Wildlife Trust is currently recruiting two Advisory Officers for two separate projects with landowners. The first role will facilitate training and workshops for groups of land managers in the upper Torridge to help them restore and manage key habitats and to protect natural resources. The second officer will work with individual land managers to restore and create wet grassland to help reduce flood risk across Northern Devon.

These posts are permanent roles, with funding secured up to 2020. The roles are full time, but job shares would also be considered. We can offer you good terms and conditions and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will be joining a team of committed, hardworking and friendly colleagues. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career within a leading Devon charity.
