Shoreline Project Manager
Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund
Full-time; based in Edinburgh, 12 month fixed term appointment
£28,892 (Band D)

RBGE are looking to recruit a Project Manager to deliver a Heritage Lottery Funded initiative exploring and celebrating the natural and cultural heritage of Edinburgh’s shoreline. The post-holder will work with volunteers and six contrasting community groups to co-construct a narrative explaining the history, present-status, and future vision for the Edinburgh’s shoreline, realised through public events and traditional and electronic/social media focussed on ecological change and the City’s relationship with the sea. This will include a major RBGE exhibition, which will be modular and tour venues along the shoreline. The project contributes directly to the Edinburgh Living Landscape initiative and there is opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of RBGE’s partner organisations.

This vacancy is on a fixed term basis and will run from 22nd January 2018.

The successful candidate will have past experience of project management and reporting, as well as excellent communication skills (both traditional and electronic/social media) and an ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and community groups from contrasting social backgrounds. Past experience managing or working with volunteer groups would be an asset.
