Community Engagement Officer, Street Design
£21,965 - £24,586 per annum (dependent on relevant skills and experience) (Ref: SUS2314)
37.5 hours per week – 12 month contract - based in Edinburgh

This exciting and challenging role is an integral part of the Street Design team delivering a range of projects across Scotland. With support from the Street Design team, responsibilities will be to plan and facilitate sessions with communities and stakeholders, to develop design proposals and smarter choices interventions and to assist in the planning and delivery of activities that encourage an increase in active travel levels.

With a good standard of education and experience of effective community engagement and of successfully delivering practical projects with community involvement as a core element, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation and organisational skills and the ability to motivate and enthuse others. The ability to develop productive working relationships and experience of leading group workshops is also required as is IT literacy and an understanding of the national standards for community engagement. You will also be committed to the promotion is sustainable transport.
