The Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) supports indigenous peoples and traditional populations of the world's rainforest to secure and control the natural resources necessary for their long-term wellbeing and managing these resources in ways which do not harm their environment.

The post-holder will be responsible for RFUK’s campaign and policy work on Climate and Forests. The role will involve monitoring the impact of REDD+ (reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation) in the Congo Basin on communities’ human rights, land rights and livelihoods. Ultimately the post aims to increase the accountability of policy makers and REDD+ funders to forest-dependent people through a combination of field-based research, policy analysis and alliance-building at the local, national and international levels.
