I Bike Officer, Aberdeen City (Ref: SUS2304)

£21,965 - £24,586 per annum (dependent on relevant skills and experience)

37.5 hours per week – contract to 30 June 2019 - based in Aberdeen

The main responsibilities of this role will include the delivery of the I Bike project to schools across Aberdeen City, promoting active travel (cycling, scooting, walking) to and from school as well as during leisure time, supporting staff and volunteers in the promotion of active travel within the school community i.e. ‘school champions’ and harnessing local authority resources, making links between schools, external partners and the bicycle industry.

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent and committed to cycling and the promotion of sustainable transport, you will have experience of working with children and young people, excellent communication and presentation skills, be IT literate and have the ability to motivate others. Experience of partnership working within a community-based or environmental project is also essential. Membership of the PVG Scheme is mandatory for this post.
