Every day TCV works across the UK to create healthier and happier communities for everyone - communities where our activities have a lasting impact on people’s health, prospects and outdoor places.

TCV are beginning the second phase of an exciting project to bring community rewilding to key areas within the Glasgow and the Clyde Valley area, in conjunction with Glasgow and Clyde Valley Green Network Partnership. The project aims to connect communities to their local greenspaces and work them to identify and improve greenspaces to make them better for wildlife and for people. 

The Community Rewilding project has two main elements: rewilding places and rewilding people. TCV have worked in three project areas (Greenock, Clydebank and Yoker) for 18 months and have secured additional funding for a further 12 months. We will work with community groups and volunteers to deliver small scale improvements to greenspaces within the three areas. The project will help people in the three communities feel more connected to their local natural heritage by engaging with them at public events, training courses and outdoor activities.  

To deliver the project outputs the successful candidate will consult with community groups and organisations to build a future plan for the Community Rewilding project.  

We are looking for a candidate with a range of skills to build relationships with people in the communities, run community events, deliver practical conservation tasks and support the evidencing and development of funding applications to extend the project. The role is offered at 35 hours per week.
