Do you want to be a part of a ground-breaking approach to saving species from extinction? Back from the Brink is a new £6.6million HLF-funded programme delivered by a partnership of England’s leading nature conservation organisations. We are building a team of enthusiastic and experienced individuals across the partnership to undertake conservation work and inspire the nation to discover, value and act for threatened species.

RSPB are seeking an experienced monitoring and field officer to delivering monitoring and provide conservation advice to landowners/managers across Wessex. As a core part of the role you will work to achieve the outcomes of the Colour in the Margins integrated project which targets the conservation of 13 species that occur in arable habitat.

You will need to have an excellent understanding of farmland ecology and habitat conservation and a proven track record of working with farmers and volunteers as well as monitoring arable plants and farmland bird species such as Stone-curlew.

You will be working with other members of the Colour in the Margins team and wider RSPB team.

The post will be line-managed by the RSPB with support from the Plantlife Colour in the Margins Project Manager

Interviews will be held on 14th November in Salisbury.
