Education Project Officer (Part time 0.4 FTE)
12 month fixed term contract
From £23,714 - £27,397 (band C) dependent on experience, plus 5% pension contribution

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Project Officer to deliver our new education scheme, ‘Wild in Winchester’. This builds on our flagship education project, ‘Munching Caterpillars’ aimed at inspiring an interest in butterflies, moths and their caterpillars among young people.

Based in our Alresford office, you will lead a programme of school visits to our Nature Reserve in Winchester, and develop ‘hands on’ activities to raise an awareness and understanding of Chalk Downland ecology among children and their families. You will also work closely with staff at the Winchester Science Centre, our key partner sited on the edge of the reserve.

The suitable candidate will have a strong commitment to environmental education. Practical experience of planning and running children’s activities is essential.
