What you'll be doing

As an environmental expert, you’ll offer support, advice and clear guidance on environmental practice to consultants and operational teams across the West Midlands. You’ll have the expertise to rise to the challenge and make big improvements to our environmental practice. Providing an invaluable consultancy service, you’ll be playing a key role in ensuring that we’re achieving sustainability targets and standards. And you’ll get everyone right behind you, coaching them on the importance of doing their bit to reduce energy usage and manage resources.

You’ll be specifically responsible for supporting our operations to deliver a series of energy efficiency measures, providing innovative solutions and procuring external services and expertise on their behalf. Ultimately you’ll drive down our energy consumption and make sure we’re achieving targets.

You’ll also be responsible for the line management and professional development of the Assistant Environmental Practices Adviser based at the Attingham hub.

Who we're looking for

Using your practical experience of environmental practices with a focus on energy efficiency and excellent communication skills you’ll know how to deliver results. You’ll be:

  • Knowledgeable in environmental practices and legislation
  • Experienced in coaching and inspiring teams and individuals to deliver results
  • An excellent communicator with good listening and influencing skills
  • Experienced in working to and achieving targets
  • Experienced in effective project delivery
  • Experienced at interpreting and working with internal and external research
  • A strong facilitator with good mentoring skills
