Tender Opportunity: Heritage Condition Assessment
Tees Rivers Trust
The Tees Rivers Trust is inviting tenders from experienced contractors to deliver a desktop-based mapping assessment, identifying priority areas of the Tees catchment at risk from invasive non-native plant species.
The assessment will help inform targeted management, focusing on locations where heritage value is most vulnerable – whether through environmental degradation or restricted access for people.
Key focus areas include the Teesdale Way, Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), designated nature conservation sites, and prospective Local Nature Recovery Strategy sites. Contractors should have experience in GIS mapping (ARCGIS), habitat assessment, and horizon scanning, with a strong understanding of invasive species and their impacts on natural and cultural heritage. The successful contractor will be required to identify the impact of INNS on the heritage from the catchment through report and accompanying maps between May and October 2025.
The Trust would like to call for tenders from suitability qualified and experienced contractors who can offer their services to provide expert technical work to assess the sites in relation to the natural heritage of the Tees catchment area. The work will include mapping of sites, assessing the impact of INNS throughout, and identifying risk areas which will support in updating and delivering the INNS Strategy of the Tees within the next phase of the project.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: FRIDAY 25th APRIL 2025
CONTACT: Chloe Lawrence [email protected]
BUDGET: Should not exceed £32,400 including VAT at the current value of 20%.
