Are you a passionate fundraiser looking to make a real impact? Do you believe in a world where people and nature thrive together? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!
About Us
Bore Place is a stunning 500-acre historic estate in Kent and home to the Commonwork Trust, a charity dedicated to environmental sustainability, regenerative farming, education, and social impact. Through our organic farm, market gardens, and inspiring programmes for young people, we bring sustainability to life and create opportunities for learning, growth, and connection with nature.
We’re entering an exciting new chapter with a fresh vision, and we’re looking for an ambitious Fundraising Manager to help us turn this vision into reality.
About the Role
As Fundraising Manager, you will play a vital role in securing funding to expand our impactful ‘people and nature’ programmes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead on fundraising strategy, identify new income opportunities, and develop strong relationships with trusts, foundations, major donors, and individual supporters.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of fundraising at Bore Place. While we don’t currently have a dedicated fundraising team, we anticipate that the successful candidate will grow this function as income increases.
The role is for 3 days per week - 22.5 hours (flexible working considered)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and implementing a successful fundraising strategy to grow our income
- Leading on grant applications, securing funds from charitable trusts and foundations
- Building relationships with donors, supporters, and key funding partners
- Supporting individual giving initiatives and growing our Friends & Patrons Schemes
- Organising fundraising events and exploring new income streams
- Managing funding reports and ensuring compliance with grant requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Experience – At least 3 years in fundraising, with a strong track record of securing funding from trusts, foundations, and donors
- Strategic thinking – Ability to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy across multiple income streams
- Excellent communication – Confident in writing compelling grant applications and making fundraising pitches
- Relationship-building – Skilled in engaging donors, partners, and volunteers
- Passion for sustainability – Experience in the charity sector, ideally with an interest in environmental or social impact causes
Why Join Us?
- Make a meaningful difference in environmental sustainability and social change
- Work in a beautiful countryside setting at Bore Place
- Be part of a small, passionate team with a ‘can-do’ culture
- Opportunity to grow and develop a fundraising function from the ground up
If you’re excited about this opportunity and ready to take on a role where you can truly make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!
