Stepney City Farm’s extensive Education Programme is one of our core charitable activities, and includes on-site workshops and interactive tours for schools, work experience for young people, and a range of learning opportunities for families.

The Schools Programme Manager is responsible for the booking, administration, session development and delivery, monitoring and reporting for our curriculum-linked programme for Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2 (primary school) groups, welcoming over 5,000 school children a year to the Farm.

The post holder is also responsible for the development and delivery of additional educational programmes, such as after-school clubs, holiday activities, SEND and SEMH tailored programmes, and the sale and delivery of our best-practice egg incubation projects for local schools, which generate income in support of the Farm’s educational activities.

We are seeking a candidate with experience of environmental education with primary aged children in a community setting, and a track record of meeting delivery targets and reporting impact. You should have a flexible and responsive approach, and a willingness to respond to new opportunities for working with schools.

About Stepney City Farm

Stepney City Farm is a 4.5 acre working farm; a rural oasis, in the heart of Tower Hamlets. Visiting the farm is one of many unique and fun free things to do in London. We give children and adults a chance to meet farm animals, learn how to grow food and try out arts and crafts. We have an extensive education programme, with over 5,000 school children and young people benefiting from funded classes, tours and projects each year. As an educational charity working to improve lives through farming, we provide a welcoming green space to bring together our diverse community. Our charitable objectives are to cultivate wellbeing through the practice and promotion of ecological and high welfare farming practices.
