Community Engagement Trainee
North Pennines National Landscape
We are looking for an individual who has an interest in gaining skills to work in community engagement or heritage communication/ interpretation who also has the determination to complete a demanding traineeship. This opportunity is for a period of 10 months.
You will work on the Tees-Swale: Naturally Connected programme to help deliver a varied and inspiring education, engagement and community event programme to hundreds of people, including young people, in and around Teesdale.
You will also be enabled and encouraged to influence current and future opportunities to increase this impact, whilst developing your own knowledge and gaining a wide range of skills and experience in engagement delivery relating to nature connection, conservation and cultural heritage
All Tees-Swale trainees will receive a range of development opportunities including an induction programme, on-the-job experience and formal training courses. Each trainee has a training budget which they can choose how best to spend to meet their needs and development interests.
We are running an informal online Q&A session for anyone who would like to meet the current trainees and other members of staff working on the Tees-Swale programme before submitting an application. Salary: £24,027 – £24,404 per annum
Employment Location: North Pennines National Landscape Office, Stanhope, County Durham (with flexibility for a degree of home working)
