We are looking for a motivated person to join our small and dedicated West Cambridgeshire Reserves team. Based out of the Great Fen, you will work with other reserves staff, key volunteers and wardens to deliver practical reserve management across 22 sites covering wetlands, woodlands & grassland nature reserves of local and national importance (11 SSSI’s). There will also be a need at times to work on some of our other Cambridgeshire reserves and the Great Fen project.

The Reserves Officer will assist with the day-to-day running of nature reserves in Cambridgeshire, through practical work, volunteer tasks, management planning and monitoring. The role also involves liaising with visitors and the local community. The post holder will work with the Reserves team and other staff to deliver agreed management plan objectives in combination with secured funding grants. Public engagement on sites, contractor management and liaison with graziers is also required.

We are looking for a friendly individual who can bring their existing experience and skills to the team and leap straight into a busy programme of activity. They will be organised, hardworking and relish a challenge. Practical experience is essential.
