The Blackdown Hills National Landscape is looking for a new team member to lead on farm advisory delivery of the Grant in Aid (nature based solutions) project within the catchment of the River Culm.

The programme from central government for managing flood risk is known as the Flood Defence Grant in Aid (FDGiA), this funds a contribution towards the delivery of nature based solutions to make the river Culm and its floodplain more resilient to the effects of climate change, natural flood management and drought.

You’ll be the local lead and the first point of contact in relation to GiA projects. You will develop designs / secure agreements to install a range of flood resilience measures / nature-based solutions. You will have considerable experience of partnership working, engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and implementation /monitoring of management plans and programmes of work.

The role will be based in Hemyock with flexibility for home working some of the week. The role will include travel throughout the River Culm catchment.
