We are looking for an experienced Rights of Way and Access Officer to join our innovative park wide Access Team, which is responsible for implementing a wide range of countryside access improvements. Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will work as part of a team to ensure the delivery of the South Downs Partnership Management Plan and Corporate Plan. You will be involved in supporting the Local Access Forum, commenting on access changes and restrictions and supporting access improvement projects.

With a strong working knowledge of countryside access including Rights of Way and CRoW Access Land, you must be able to protect access rights and plan how access could be improved, negotiating with landowners and commenting though the planning system to deliver multiple outcomes across nature recovery, access for all and climate adaptation. A strong team working ethic and well-developed negotiating and interpersonal skills are also essential to ensure you can work effectively with colleagues, partners, local communities and landowners to deliver organisational outcomes.
