Business description:
The business has a strong sustainability track record. In the past year the business has delivered training for climate literacy in a national NGO, and for marine aspects of a fisheries diploma. The company is also delivering fish surveys design, technical and consenting support. The company has coordinated strategic environmental changes for an international association.
The expertise has the potential to increase compliance and management for ISO standards, GRI reporting, carbon foot printing and compliance management. Consenting assessment for developments and biodiversity assessments with an increase in capacity and skills. The company is on several procurement frameworks.
This is full time role within a team of sustainability experts in a range of sectors who will be supported by this role to develop and grow their work. The company also uses contractors and assignment-based team members that would be working with this role.
Role:
Sustainability Analyst with a capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines, and to interpret insights from data to identify risks and opportunities, to communicate complex technical environment and sustainability information in a succinct and accessible way, including GIS. Communicate findings and progress through clear oral and written skills via presentations and written reports.
Leading projects and develop tenders and procurement opportunities in area of strength, and business development to grow the business further. Providing similar support to the volunteers who help run not for profit, while promoting its work, and delivering key roles do sustain the foundation like volunteer recruitment, event coordination, promotion of data and media with supporting businesses and funders.
We support a local environmental foundation with additional conservation duties thereby diversifying the data for analysis into conservation, ecology and litter.
Job Summary:
This can be either a remote role or based in Stockbury, Kent. If remote option, the incumbent will be expected to regularly travel to meet at Stockbury or in London as part of the role in order to work with internal colleagues. Face to face or remote attendance in client meetings and project workshops are part of the role.
Duties:
The below duties include but not limited to:
- Project delivery
- Data analysis, interpretation and research
- Report writing on environmental and sustainability issues including tender development
- Quality control of reports, tasks and data
- Procurement management, Business development and engagement in management of website, linked-in company profile building.
- Communication with and support of internal team, project group or external client.
- Project coordination and client management.
- Project administration internally and externally
Knowledge required
Skills including Sustainable finance, Climate Forecasting or Modelling are desirable.
- Experience working on sustainability & climate projects as a researcher or analyst
- A working knowledge of Greenhouse Gas (GHG accounting and net zero principles, the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting frameworks
- Experience of working with large datasets and the ability to synthesise and interpret data into meaningful and material conclusions
- Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, Statistics packages, digital modelling systems, GIS and/or python and the ability to learn new technology applications.

Starting salary is listed for midlevel of 1-2 years experience, with further discussion available for more skilled applicants.
