Bats are remarkable and essential to our environment. The Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) is the foremost non-governmental organisation dedicated to bat conservation and habitat protection. Our mission is to secure bats' future in a changing world.

We are now looking for a Finance and Operations Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
We are open to candidates who can work between four to five days a week / 0.8-1 FTE (30 to 37.5 hours per week excluding one hour for lunch). Hours can be worked flexibly using our Flexi Time policy (core hours being 9.30am-midday and 2.30pm-4.30pm).

The Role
As a Finance and Operations Officer, you will provide crucial financial and operational support across the organisation.
Specifically, in this dual role, you will support project management activities from an operational perspective and assist with budgetary management and fundraising through finance tasks.
Collaborating closely with the fundraising and project teams, you will support the development of systems for project management, budget tracking and ensuring compliance with financial processes.
In your financial management responsibilities, you will work with heads of departments, project managers and the fundraising team to assist in developing and checking budgets for funding applications.
You will also ensure the timely preparation of funding claims, update daily rates, check contracts, and liaise with external accountants and funders to maintain strong working relationships.
