Due to a steadily increasing order book, we are currently seeking an Ecologist to join our friendly team. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of terrestrial habitats and protected species survey techniques, and have good communication and report-writing skills.

We are inviting professionals with previous or current experience to apply.

Key requirements for the role are:

  • Experience with managing projects and preparing reports
  • A minimum of 3 years' full time experience working in ecological consultancy
  • Good knowledge of wildlife legislation and development plan policy
  • Appropriate degree/professional qualification(s)
  • IT skills with knowledge of full Microsoft Office package
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable requirements for the role are: 

  • Member of CIEEM
  • CSCS Card
  • Hold one or more protected species licences

Core responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Completion of baseline ecological habitat surveys
  • Completion of protected species surveys
  • Liaising and working with specialist sub-consultants (as required)
  • Preparation of reports and data handling 
  • Project management and client liaison
