18-month fixed-term contract / potential secondment opportunity
Eildon has built a strong reputation and at the heart of our service is a deep commitment to excellence and the provision of high-quality affordable homes, as well as person centered care and support services. Eildon are committed to eliminating fuel poverty whilst trying to ensure a just transition as we decarbonise our homes.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Energy Advisor to provide person-centred, impartial advice, support and information to customers on energy efficiency, water and heating consumption, renewable energy, and low carbon alternatives. This includes an outreach service to customer’s homes, community advice sessions, presentations, and attending events.
The Energy Advisor will assist the Sustainability Co-ordinator with the delivery of Eildon’s Decarbonisation Roadmap. This will include customer engagement, research, data monitoring and evaluation, and delivery.
You should be a graduate, preferably with experience of working as an energy advisor or a similar role or have relevant experience in a related field and ideally a City & Guilds Level 3 Energy Awareness Qualification. If you don’t have this qualification, you will be supported to achieve it within 3 months of appointment.
You will work with housing, care and property services colleagues to identify customers in need of energy advice and support and then proactively deliver accurate, impartial, relevant, and engaging energy advice and support to householders in-person, over the phone, and at community events.
With personal integrity and credibility as well as excellent communication and IT skills, you must be able to collaborate with all stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.
As our values are incredibly important to us you will need to have a strong value base and ambition to make positive and significant improvements to the lives of our customers.
If you can demonstrate a personal commitment and positive approach to Eildon’s vision and values to deliver an effective and valued service to our customers, we would love to hear from you!
In return Eildon offer a competitive reward package including membership of SHAPS Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and a Health Cash Plan. Please note that appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Standard Disclosure. A full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as the post involves regular travel.
