Are you an enthusiastic and motivated educator looking to share your passion for outdoor learning?

We are looking for someone confident working with children and young people with SEND, as well as primary and secondary children. This role involves delivering outdoor learning programmes, nature connection activities and developing resources, and making best educational use of our 500-acre site. Other responsibilities include working as part of our larger education team to deliver holiday clubs and funded programmes for children and families.

You will be the kind of person who likes to get stuck in. We are looking for someone committed to inspiring people of all ages and abilities to engage with nature and the environment, a positive attitude, an excellent work ethic, and excellent communication skills to provide stand-out learning experiences for the children and young people that we work with.

This is a part time post. The role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering high quality outdoor learning programmes to SEND schools, primary and secondary schools, funded groups and community partnerships.
  • Working with the education team to plan and deliver programmes such as residentials, day visits and family activity days.
  • Delivering a variety of outdoor learning sessions linking food, farming and nature.
  • Maintaining and managing an inventory of resources.

Bore Place is committed to increasing the number of people it engages with and this role will be pivotal in helping to achieve this. Our Education and Community team is committed to inspiring people of all ages to connect with nature and the countryside, food, and regenerative farming, and is developing its own practises to demonstrate best in class environmental management.

Bore Place is situated on an organic dairy farm, has its own organic market garden, gardens, woodland, and diverse habitats, and educates over 5,000 children a year via its education programmes and events.

Due to our remote rural location, you need to have your own transport and be able to drive.
