Stream Farm is a small-scale, mixed organic farm in the Quantocks, Somerset. We produce certified organic, 100% Pasture Fed beef and lamb, organic chicken, organic pork, organic apple juice, raw honey, and oak-smoked and fresh Rainbow trout.  

Central to the vision of the farm is our active Christian faith, which, shared by those who farm here, underpins all we do. 

We are currently looking for someone to join the farm to take on the running of the Rainbow Trout business, along with other general work around the farm. 

The Rainbow Trout business at Stream Farm produces oak-smoked fillets and whole fresh fish, reared in four ponds on the farm, for a variety of customers: door-to-door sales, restaurants, butchers and shops. 

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, under the supervision of the Farm Managers. This includes weekly processing of the oak-smoked filets and whole fresh trout to fulfil orders, stock taking and record keeping, pond maintenance and fish husbandry, and other work as necessary (approximately 3.5 days/week). For the remainder of the week you will help with other work across the farm as required.

The role is best suited to someone with good attention to detail, who enjoys working outdoors, with animals, and as part of a wider team shaped by a common bond of faith in Jesus. Full training will be provided so previous experience, whilst desirable, is not necessary. Of greater importance is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. The role is physically demanding, so a good level of fitness is important. 

A full driving licence is required. 

Both full time and part time applicants (trout only) will be considered. For a full time role accommodation can be provided in one of the farm cottages.
