Magnificent Revolution

Magnificent Revolution is a not-for-profit education project based in London. MR has been running since the summer of 2007 when we built our first bicycle powered cinema at the Big Chill Festival. To date we have worked with 1000s of children and adults in schools, universities, clubs, festivals, and companies across the UK.

MR uses bicycle generators as a creative tool to educate about energy production and consumption and its link to climate change. MR engages people with renewable technology, a key step towards developing low carbon economies, through our workshops, pedal powered cinemas, music events and art installations.

MR aims to:

1. Educate people about energy production, renewable technologies and micro-power generation.
2. Inspire people to reduce their energy consumption by helping them feel and visualise watts.
3. Help individuals to take greater control over their energy supply and to take creative action on climate change.
4. Promote cycling as a healthy and low impact transport option.
