This beginner spider course will cover their ecology, various survey techniques, and how to identify these amazing animals.
There are over 650 species of spider known in the UK. These invertebrates can be important indicators for assessing the condition of habitats and can be of conservation importance in their own right.
This beginner course will cover the process and key skills needed to identify spiders, and how to use microscopes and work with preserved specimens. This course will include a combination of classroom learning elements, fieldwork and laboratory work.
You will spend your time on the beautiful Isle of Cumbrae on the Firth of Clyde, West Scotland at our Millport centre surrounded by the rich history as a marine research station.
