Soldierflies and their allies include a fascinating mix of species from many habitats and with hugely varied life-histories.

With around 160 species in Britain, these charismatic flies have very specialist lifestyles and habitat niches that make them vulnerable to habitat disturbance and as such, they can serve as excellent habitat quality indicators.

FSC Natural History Live webinars are free online learning experiences for adults, comprising of a 30-40 minute talk from a guest speaker, followed by a question and answer session. We host them on Zoom and we will send out joining instructions on the day of the event.
