This workshop delivered by Faith Ansley will give you the confidence to use field guides to recognise different plant families. It is suitable for anyone who can tell a buttercup from a daisy. After being introduced to some basic terms and concepts, participants will be shown how they can place a given plant into its correct family. Only then will they try to identify it as a particular species.
You will be given advice on how to choose and use a field guide, and how to follow simple keys. All the work will be hands-on, with fresh material indoors and growing plants outdoors, throughout the day.
Participants will receive a copy of Faith's Wildflower Families and Flowers in the Field guide book (rrp £6.99) which they can take home with them.
