The Green Register and Changing Streams are pleased to present a two-part course which will enable companies to play a key role in reducing plastic and carbon.

Expert trainers Leo Aspden, Changing Streams, and Dr Wendy Jones, University of Liverpool and Changing Streams, will present two live online workshops with a focus on interactive learning and practical solutions for positive change.

You will learn:

  • The problems associated with the current and future forecasts of the use of plastic
  • The impact that our dependence on plastic is having on the environment, our vital ecosystems, on human health and its economic cost
  • Together we will identify, explore and create action plans for positive solutions to effect change

Workshop 1, 2nd December 2020: Addressing Plastic in the Construction Sector
95% of construction industry professionals said that the industry needs to reduce its consumption of plastics and packaging (source: survey by the Considerate Constructors Scheme / CCS.) This workshop will look at the problems associated with the current and future forecasts of the use of plastic, and the impact that our dependence on plastic is having on the environment, our vital ecosystems, on human health and its economic cost.

Workshop 2, 9th December 2020: Reducing Plastic in the Construction Sector
This highly interactive workshop will help companies and professionals within the construction sector to reduce their dependence on plastic and to develop practical sustainable alternatives.

These training sessions will have several Q&A breaks to allow participants to ask questions of the speakers.
