Complementing the Designing Sustainable Start-ups course, which goes from hunch to innovation strategy, this practical course equips you with the skills you’ll need for a subsequent set of business challenges. Now more than ever, the world is a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous place to run projects or grow enterprises; much is outside our control. The good news is that leadership, teams and strategy execution are firmly within our sphere of influence – and they’re the core capabilities that make the difference for sustainable success.

This strengths-based course boosts your knowledge and confidence with practical skills for those core capabilities. What leadership models suite you best? How can you best grow teams and work with others to harness creativity, diversity and strengths whilst maximising deep-work and collective wellbeing? And as gaps are encountered between plans and reality what simple strategies and powerful hacks can reinforce your skill-set?

This course defines business and leadership widely and is relevant for conventional models as well as not-for-profit, co-ops, distributed leadership, social projects and community based initiates; we’ll explore balancing people, planet and profit. It's a course to investigate the practical capabilities necessary to carry out strategy once a solid business model has been clarified (addressed in the Start-ups course).

The course is facilitated by Bruce Stanley who has 25 years experience as a creative project manager, innovation facilitator and leadership coach. He is highly rated as a fun and engaging facilitator who’s able to draw out the best in participants to enrich the shared learning experience.
