Understanding and surveying for adders requires field skills learnt over time, but our intensive 1 day course is a great way to make sure you are using best practise to survey and manage these protected and increasingly threatened reptiles. Includes field and classroom sessions and led by national adder specialist Nigel Hand.

The morning will be outdoors to maximise the chance of observing reptiles. The field study site is managed for all four widespread reptile species and is also a public site with issues from disturbance. This will be followed by an indoor session covering some of the theory behind best practice, and how to improve your own field skills.
